Joel visits the Shuktara House in Kolkata, a residential center for Deaf adults with
additional handicaps. There, Joel learns about the facility and from the support of
donations to the DeafNation Foundation, makes a donation of art supplies to the Deaf
people who live there.

The giving to the DeafNation Foundation makes it possible for Joel to also fulfill God’s new commandment, to love other people and care for them. Not only that, DeafNation is not just an expo, or a website featuring different shows including “No Barriers with Joel Barish,” but the company has values which includes giving to real people and not just from Joel’s current city but around the world.
