A Sweet Farewell: Parting is such sweet sorrow…especially when the saying is taken literally. The local Deaf community of Nampula pulled out all the stops to surprise me with a farewell party with homemade treats from Shiela’s bakery. Their generosity and community spirit is another reason this place will be missed. Mozambique forever has a piece of my 💜.
